In keeping with the urban context of this Queen Anne neighborhood, Kilburn Architects rejuvenated Taylor Lee with an updated look through the use of contemporary materials and varying the depths of the façade. The outdated red tile mansard roofs, leaking stucco finish, and half wall balconies were replaced with Hardiplank (fiber cement), corrugated metal siding, and translucent glass deck rails. All windows and sliding glass doors were also replaced.
